Your list stays on your phone. We can't see it.

What stays on your phone
- Your medicines, allergies, questions and the people you add.
- All of it is stored on your phone, encrypted.
- Label photos are read on your phone. They are never uploaded.
What our server sees
You don't need an account to use MedRec List. If you make one for backup, our server keeps only:
- An account ID
- How you signed in (Apple, Google or email)
- Your email address
- The date you made the account
- Which version of our Terms you accepted
- Your encrypted backup file
Your phone locks the backup with your passphrase before it is uploaded. We don't have your passphrase. That means we can't open your backup, and we can't recover it if you lose the passphrase.
Ads
The free app shows small banner ads on its home screen only. The ads are contextual. They are not based on your health, your list or who you are. We never use or share health data for ads.
Ads never appear on screens that show your list, allergies, items to ask about, sharing or the camera.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal data or your health data.
- We never put your list in logs, crash reports or ad requests.
- This website uses no cookies, trackers or analytics.
You are in control
- Deleting the app deletes the list on your phone.
- Deleting your account deletes the account and your backup. Here is how.
