Terms of Use

Medical disclaimer

MedRec List is not medical advice. It is a tool for keeping a list. The interaction checks use public U.S. government sources. They are informational, may be incomplete, and can't tell you whether a medicine is right for you. “No flagged items” does not mean there is nothing to ask about. Items marked “Not checked” were not checked at all.

Always ask your Medical Provider or pharmacist about your medicines. Never change how you take a medicine based only on the app. In an emergency, call 911.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“we”, “us”) about the MedRec List app and the website medreclist.com (together, the “service”). By using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use MedRec List

  • The service is offered only in the United States.
  • You must be 18 or older to create an account.
  • A parent or guardian may keep a child's list on their own phone.

3. What the service does

MedRec List helps you keep a list of medications, supplements, allergies and questions for yourself and people you care for, and share it when you choose. The app reads label photos on your device. Reading text from a photo can make mistakes. You are responsible for checking every item before you save or share it.

4. Not medical advice

The service does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It does not replace your Medical Provider or pharmacist. Interaction checks are informational only, come from public U.S. government sources, and may be incomplete or contain errors. Do not rely on the service in an emergency.

5. Your account and backup

  • An account is optional and exists only for encrypted backup.
  • You are responsible for your sign-in method and your device.
  • Your backup is encrypted with a passphrase that only you know. If you lose your passphrase, we can't recover your backup.
  • You can delete your account at any time. See Delete your account.

6. Your information

Your list belongs to you. It stays on your device, and we can't read your backup. You are responsible for anything you choose to share, including PDFs and QR codes. A QR code contains the list itself.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service. For example, you will not try to break its security, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, overload it, or use it to break the law or harm others.

8. Ads

The free app shows non-personalized, contextual banner ads on its home screen. We are not responsible for products or services offered in ads.

9. Our rights

We own the service, including its software, design and content, except for content owned by others. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use while you follow these Terms.

10. Changes and ending the service

We may change, pause or end the service or any feature. We may update these Terms. The app records which version of the Terms you accepted. If you keep using the service after changes take effect, you accept the new Terms. You may end your use at any time by deleting the app and, if you have one, your account.

11. Apple and Google

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content, and have no duty to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use must also follow the rules of the app store you downloaded the app from.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SERVICE, ITS CHECKS OR ITS TEXT READING WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ALWAYS AVAILABLE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO [LIABILITY CAP AMOUNT]. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
